Why you need to migrate website to a new host

There are many reasons: the current host is not reliable any more, or the cost and level of service is not suitable for you. So many users start to find a new host and prepare to migrate to it.

How to migrate website to a new host

First, you should know hosting accounts with two hosting providers (the old and the new one). Then you can migrate by connecting to the old host’s FTP and downloading all your files. Then by connecting to the new host’s FTP and uploading all your files (maintain the same folder and file structure).

Above is a traditional way. Now, with the help of MultCloud, you can sync, backup and transfer website to a new host without having any down time. Put simply, MultCloud is a multi-cloud management application and supports FTP. After you have added two hosts’ FTP accounts in MultCloud, you can copy files from one website to another.

In the pop-up window, select the new host’s FTP-FTP new, then click “Transfer” button to continue. There is an optional box “Move” on the left bottom. If you don’t need the backup in old host, you can check it.
