Why Need Move/Copy from Wasabi to AWS S3？
Cloud drives have changed our lives and the way we store data. Most people manage multiple cloud storage accounts daily and use them to store files. Among them, Wasabi and Amazon S3 have won the favor of many individual and enterprise users with their excellent object storage services.
Wasabi is a file hosting and cloud storage service provided by Wasabi Technologies Incorporation that allows users to store files and personal data. Amazon S3 is a cloud storage service provided by Amazon Web Services. Amazon S3 provides object storage through a web services interface that users can use to store and protect data volumes for various use cases, such as websites, mobile applications, backup and recovery, archiving, enterprise applications, IoT devices, and big data analytics.
In the process of using cloud storage services, users will choose different cloud services according to the price, function, storage and other conditions of these cloud drives. When the functions provided by Wasabi are quite different, some users will choose to use S3, and then directly migrate the data in Wasabi to S3. Perhaps, it could also be due to the following reasons:
- Amazon S3 can provide users with higher disaster recovery capabilities. As a result, business users can better avoid losses in the event of data attacks and breaches.
- Amazon S3 supports advanced data analytics. Users can work with important data directly on the Amazon S3 platform, eliminating the need to extract and move data into a separate analytics database.
- Amazon S3 provides a robust ecosystem. The Amazon S3 ecosystem can allow business users to better process, analyze and categorize data to reduce costs and improve service levels.
When faced with the above situation, users may need to transfer large amounts of data from Wasabi to Amazon S3. This article will provide 2 solutions with detailed steps to best solve your problem.
