Yes, you can let AWS S3 copy from one bucket to another and there are multiple ways you can choose, such as using the AWS CLI, AWS SDK, AWS DataSync, MultCloud, and so on. MultCloud is a professional cloud file transfer service that can automatically transfer files from one cloud or one account to another without cumbersome downloading and uploading. MultCloud allows you to manage unlimited AWS S3 buckets on it and create transfer, sync, or backup tasks between them.
To make AWS copy S3 bucket to another account, MultCloud gives you 3 functions to try:
Cloud Transfer allows you to choose multiple cloud storage services or accounts as the transfer source and can migrate files from them to one destination with one click. There are some customizable options in Cloud Transfer, such as Schedule, Filter, Deleting all source files after transfer is complete, etc. If you have masses of files that need to be moved from one account to another, Cloud Transfer will be the NO.1 choice.
⭐ Copy to:
Unlike Cloud Transfer which supports multiple sources, the “Copy to” function is for multiple destinations. You can use it to transfer files from one AWS S3 bucket to different cloud storage services or buckets at once. However, there are not as many options in “Copy to” and it is right for small-scale file migration.
⭐ Cloud Sync:
If you pursue a more seamless integration of 2 AWS S3 buckets, Cloud Sync is an ideal one. It offers the Real Time Sync mode so that files can be automatically updated from one account to another. Except for Real Time Sync, Cloud Sync offers more sync modes like Cumulative Sync, Incremental Sync, Mirror Sync, Move Sync, Full Backup Sync, Update Sync, and so on. Moreover, a Cloud Sync task can run in two-way to transfer files between clouds, not only from one to another.
