Why we need to move files from one FTP to another with MultCloud?
Different FTP servers have different uses. Once a friend of mine said he planed to change his host, so he was looking for some FTP app which can move files from one FTP server to another. He also said he didn’t plan to download a backup then reupload all files.
There are also some people asking whether downloading files from one FTP to local disk first then reuploading to another is slower than directly copying the files(if that exists) or not.
Now I can say very responsibly, that exists! MultCloud, a FREE web-based application multiple cloud storage manager, supports FTP, WebDav and many popular cloud drives, for example, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, Amazon S3, Amazon Cloud Drive, SugarSync, Alfresco, Hubic, Evernote, OneDrive, MEGA, CloudMe, Cubby, MyDrive, WEB.DE, Yandex, HiDrive, MySQL, Flickr, MediaFire, ownCloud, ADrive, BaiDu.
How to use MultCloud?
MultCloud is great for FTP, and very easy to use. Connecting it is like any other FTP client, sign up and log in, then you have to enter the login credentials of the FTP server, including FTP server, username and password. The display name can be customed. Because you will add more than one FTP, so easy-to-remember is important.
After you have added two FTP in MultCloud, You can delete, rename, cut, copy, create new folder and see file properties from right-click context menu.
When you want to transfer files from one FTP server to another, you can select “Copy” or “Copy to”. If you select “Copy” option, you should paste in another FTP server like in Windows Explorer. If you select “Copy to”, setting some parameters in the pop-up window is crucial. The optional box “Move” means original file will be removed after transferring. (See image below)
Next, I will teach you the easiest way of moving files, that is dragging. Just drag the target file to do FTP to FTP transfer online.
So back to the beginning problem, if you want to transfer the whole files in one FTP, select all files by checking the box near the “Name”. (See image blow)
However, if you want to move single file in FTP or Cloud drive but you don’t remember which one is the right. Don’t worry, You can preview in MultCloud. Till now, MultCloud supports the preview of jpg, gif, png, pdf, xls, doc, txt, html, js. There will be more formats in the near future.
Now in the newest version of MultCloud, you are able to do scheduled FTP transfer, just need to switch to Cloud Transfer Service.
And enjoy cloud sync service as following screenshot shows.
256-bit encryption is applied to the data transmission in MultCloud. When you try to visit one of your accounts in MultCloud, a connection will be built up automatically between MultCloud and the cloud drive you request. It works as a channel and all the files and data that you visited via MultCloud will not be saved on MultCloud’s server. They are still kept in their original cloud drives. Thus the security of MultCloud is high and worth trust.
MultCloud is such a powerful website built app, register and enjoy yourself quickly please.
